I just bought the macbook Pro with m3 pro chip 18 gigs ram my expectations were very high i thought i could edit 4K footages with almost no lag but it's lagging more than my previous 2020 macbook air wtf!!

Love Your Videos. I have heard that if you have a less expensive camera with a much better lens that the result, usually, is better than an expensive camera with an average lens. In my amateur experience the better the lens, the better the result with many or most cameras. Maybe Lens Envy is better than Brand or camera Envy ?

how can i do this whilst editing a podcast with multiple speakers? i dont want the clips removed, i just want all the silent sections muted, with a small fade in and out. currently I have to manually cut and mute each clip which is very time consuming. thanks

Adding black bars or cropping the video is like deleting pixels, so you are losing information.

When the quality between cameras is so close to each other it becoems subjective to untrained eye.

I shot a wedding film in 30 fps, and the next one in 24 and 60 for “b roll” I think I’m going to do it all in 30 and 60 🤷‍♂️ seem to just work

There is this thing on Sony that is dynamic range optimizer for JPG's, it let's you lift shadows for JPG before it's written to card. Think canon should have similar setting somewhere. Anyway it let's you get JPG's with good dynamic range in case you don't wanna do edits later. You can use DRO even in video at least for Sony, checked it both on FF and APS-C body, just set this to proper lvl depending on scene you have to capture. Ofc RAW's for photos and Log for video will be better still, but you don't always need it, or don't always want to go through editing process, just another tool added to the box.

Can't agree with you more! What's best for 'pro' isn't necessarily best for laypeople as well sometime. Most normal people outside filmmaking does recognize image out of RED 8k is better in aesthetics than that of ARRI 2k image merely because of sharpness.

Image quality can be picture quality or composition quality or combined.

I have both a7iv and bmcc6k. When I was coming back from Sony shooting it was always off and meh. With bmcc6k it’s pleasure to see the footage - finally it’s accurate and it’s pop

One thing 8 and 10 bit cameras have difficulty with is super smooth highligh roll-off. Regarding image quality.. it depends if the environment is controlled, camera and envirinment are matched for the desired effect. Nailing the set-up and post processing. Cameras can look very similar with some finetuning.

Lenses, Light use ...shutter speed ... I also have a theory that water appeals to your eye and what appeals to someone else's I will be different. I struggled with my Nikon camera for a long time. I took some great images with it but it was just something wasn't right about it. The greens were always too green and the blue wasn't right and I'm a landscape photographer so it was incredibly difficult having to manipulate everything in post to get what I wanted. So one day I just picked up a Fuji film camera straight out of the box a small Fuji film camera with a simple kit lens and I took about 20 photos and I looked at the files and went. That's what I'm looking for. Is the Fuji a better camera than the Nikon not necessarily but the actual photos appeal to my eye and my look a year later I'm now into Fujifilm GFX and oh my gosh talk about image quality that is just smack it out of the pa you want. It is a long journey to find the camera, you want and I'm sure people follow the camera conspiracies guy. All I want is the perfect camera. And you're right what appeals to certain people I noticed a lot of the European photographers with their landscape photography. Go with that soft mushy. I call it the European edit look. I absolutely hate it now I'm not a sharpness freak but I do like drama and contrast in my images, so everyone is different.

The Cinema 6k superior to a lot of cameras especially Sony’s. Those cameras with Phase Detect AF sacrifice pixels for AF. The images you showed of the Cinema 6k are absolutely gorgeous and not many 10 bit hybrid cameras can come close.

The best camera is the Panasonic S9. Every UA-camr worth their salt has said that this is the best camera. I don't think I heard a bad review about it. Its way better than your two average cameras.

Blackmagic is something special out of the box. Brings the cinema to our living room with minimal effort. Thanks for the video and explanation.
